Best Nintendo Switch Deals November 2019: Games, Consoles, And Accessories

Nintendo discounts are hard to come by, but we’ve found some of the best you can get before Black Friday.

The products discussed here were independently chosen by our editors. GameSpot may get a share of the revenue if you buy anything featured on our site.

The Nintendo Switch continues to have a strong year going into November, and it’s not done yet. 2019 has brought us some exciting first-party titles, including Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Super Mario Maker 2, and Luigi’s Mansion 3, as well as a growing roster of third-party ports for incredible games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dark Souls, Overwatch, Return of the Obra Dinn, and Divinity: Original Sin 2, giving die-hard Nintendo fans and well-rounded players alike reasons to keep playing on Switch. And we still have Pokemon Sword and Shield to look forward to.

That’s a lot of games to keep up with, and Nintendo is notorious for being stingy when it comes to discounts. Though you can now get a Switch for $300 or a Switch Lite for $200, Nintendo’s major releases tend to stick to their original prices, as do accessories and like the $70 Switch Pro controller, the colorful array of Joy-Cons that retail for $80, and the online membership that goes for a more modest $20 per year, all of which add up to quite a hefty sum, especially over the coming holiday season.

Thankfully, the holiday season also brings its share of deals, including the annual tidal wave of Black Friday sales, and we’ve already got some discounts early in the month of November. We’ve rounded up the best Nintendo Switch deals from a variety of online outlets to make sure you get the best deals on Nintendo Switch games, accessories, and more. We will likely have to wait on deals on the console itself its smaller, handheld-only Switch Lite, but we still have some solid deals worth considering going into Black Friday.

We’ll update this story with any new Switch deals we see come up in November (especially during Black Friday), but here are the best discounts we’ve seen so far.

Quick look: Best Nintendo Switch deals

The original rendition of the Nintendo Switch (lacking the improved battery life, unfortunately) not the newer model with better battery life) is on sale for $275 at Best Buy–it’s refurbished and Geek Squad-certified. If you want a cheaper Switch but aren’t into the Switch Lite version of the console (or want to be able to hook your console up to your TV), this is good way to save some cash.

Nintendo Switch bundle with Mario Tennis Aces and 1-2-Switch for $359.96

We’re still waiting for major deals on new Nintendo Switch consoles as Black Friday deals approach, but if you want one now rather than later, you can still save some money. Nintendo currently has a bundle that includes both Mario Tennis Aces and 1-2-Switch for just under $360, which saves you around $15.

Nintendo Switch Lite with memory card for $225.45

Amazon also has a nice deal for the Switch Lite. It’s a bundle that comes with the console and a 128GB Samsung SDXC memory card for $225.45. The bundle is a savings of about $10. Having a memory card will let you store more games and saves on your Switch Lite, so make sure to snag one up.

Aside from those offers, we’re still waiting for stores to start offering up their November and early Black Friday deals as we get closer to the holidays. We’ll be updating this post throughout the month with deals as they come up.

Major deals on Switch games are hard to come by compared to deals for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games. However, you can still find discounts on recently released games if you know where to look, and you can score new-ish games like Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition, which just released on Switch September 27. You can already find the game marked down to $49.94, a full $10 off.

Another pair of deals that recently popped up are a competing pair of buy two, get one free deals from Amazon and Target, both of which include a small selection of Nintendo Switch deals. Amazon’s deal says “Buy 3 items, get 1 item free,” but the way it works is that if you add three items to your cart, a “multibuy” discount appears at checkout that removes the prices of the item with the lowest price.

    Best Switch Online membership deals

Switch Online is Nintendo’s monthly membership that grants access to online multiplayer, save data cloud backup for most (but not all) games, and a selection of over 40 NES games and 20 SNES games, as well as the ability to buy official NES and SNES controllers compatible with Switch. Nintendo Switch Online is far cheaper than Sony or Microsoft’s online subscriptions–an annual individual subscription sells for $20, while a family plan for up to eight Nintendo accounts is $35–but it’s still another expense added to the ever-growing pile of Switch-related purchases.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member who claimed your first three months of Switch Online free via Twitch Prime, you have until January 22, 2020 to claim your additional nine months free. Unfortunately, the deadline has passed if you never claimed your first three months free.

Here’s a deal everyone can claim, though: Popular Switch Online game Tetris 99 is getting a physical release, and it includes 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online. Not only that, but you’ll get all current and future DLC for the game. That bundle will cost you $30.
