Reclaim and Augment Feathers in Death’s Gambit
Death’s Gambit is a brand new 2D Souls-like game developed by White Rabbit and published by Adult Swim Games. Just like all other Souls-like games you’ve already played, you can rest at checkpoints called death’s idols, and level up your character there.
However, you’ll also notice the Reclaim and Augment options from the rest menu. If you’re not sure what they do exactly, we’re here to help.
First off, Reclaim lets you recover any lost feathers you dropped when you died. This can be helpful if you’re missing a feather but can’t remember where exactly you dropped it.
If you reclaim your feathers from an idol, you’ll need to pay up with some shards. The cost isn’t that high in the beginning, but it’ll go up as your character level increases. For instance, if you need 400 shards to level up once, that’s the number of shards you need to pay to get your feathers back.
If the cost gets too high for you, we definitely recommend trying to get them manually and then using a crow plume to return to an idol.
The Augment option is a little more interesting. This allows you to sacrifice feathers to increase your damage output. Each feather will increase your damage by 10 percent, which can be very helpful, but you’ll do so at the cost of having one less healing charge.
We don’t recommend doing this when you’re just exploring the world, but if you’re up against bosses and enemies that can kill you in one or two hits, it might be worth stacking up your damage to take them down quickly.
That’s all you need to know about the Reclaim and Augment options in Death’s Gambit. For more information on the game, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
