    These are the 20 ‘best’ smartphones to watch YouTube videos

    In a recent report, it was revealed that India is the fastest-growing market for YouTube. This is a testament to the fact that the majority of users in India watch YouTube videos largely on their smartphones. YouTube has a Signature Device list where it gives names of smartphones that “can deliver the best-in-class YouTube experience by combining next-generation technologies, video performance, and reliability.”

    YouTube says that “to qualify as a Signature Device, a phone must support high dynamic range, high frame rate, reliable DRM performance, 4K decoding, and use next-generation video codecs.” Here are 20 ‘best’ smartphones for watching YouTube videos:

    Huawei P30 Pro

    Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone features a 6.5-inch OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone offers a resolution of 1080*2340 pixels.

    The next phone on the list on LG V40 ThinQ that features a 6.4-inch P-OLED display. LG V40 ThinQ offers a display resolution of 1440*3120 pixels.

    Honor View 20 was launched in January 2019 and features a 6.4-inch display offering 85.7% screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone offers a display resolution of 1080*2310 pixels.

    LG V30 is another phone that makes YouTube’s list. The smartphone features a 6-inch P-OLED display and has a resolution of 1440*2880 pixels.

    One of the most popular premium phones in India, OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch optic AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080*2280 pixels.

    The only Nokia phone is the Nokia 8 Sirocco which has a 5.5-inch P-OLED display that offers resolution of 1440*2560 pixels.

    Google Pixel 3XL features a 6.3-inch P-OLED display and offers a resolution of 1440*2910 pixels.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 9 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone’s display offers a resolution of 1440*2910 pixels.

    The smaller variant of Google Pixel features a 5.5-inch P-OLED display that offers resolution of 1080*2169 pixels.

    Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a 6.4-inch OLED display that offers a resolution of 1440*3120 pixels.

    Samsung’s last year’s flagship device the Galaxy S9+ features a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1440*2960 pixels.

    Samsung Galaxy S9 is another Samsung phone on the list. The smartphone boasts of a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display and offers a resolution of 1440*2960 pixels.

    Huawei P20 Pro features a 6.2-inch OLED display that offers a resolution of 1080*2240 pixels.

    The one – and only – Xiaomi phone on the list is the Mi 8. The smartphone has a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 1080*2248 pixels.

    Google Pixel 2 offers 5-inch AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels.

    Another LG phone that makes the cut is LG’s G7 ThinQ. The smartphone boasts of a 6.1-inch display that offers a resolution of 1440*3120 pixels.

    Samsung 2017 flagship device, the Galaxy S8+ also makes the list. It has a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440*2960 pixels.

    The Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440*2960 pixels.

    With a display size of 6-inch, Google Pixel 2 XL offers a resolution of 1440*2880 pixels.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone offers a resolution of 1440*2960 pixels.
