Did you know that YouTube allows you to send videos to other users in chats? Our guide will show you how this is done.
Note: These screenshots were captured in the YouTube application on iOS.
Step 1: Tap “Inbox” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2: Tap the chat you’d like to send a video within. Note: If you’ve recently looked at your YouTube notifications, you may need to tap “Messages” at the top of the Inbox screen to see your chats.
Step 3: Tap the video icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Note: You can also search for videos by taping the square slash icon to the left of the video icon in Step 3. When you tap the square slash icon, you can search for videos “based on keywords,” view the “newest and hottest” trending videos or search the “latest videos by channels.”
Step 4: Either scroll through your “Recently Watched” videos and tap one to share it in the chat, or tap “Search YouTube” at the top of the screen to search for a video to share.
Step 5 (optional): Tap “Say something …” if you wish to send a message along with the video.
Step 6: Tap the blue arrow to send the video in the chat.
