How to Change Netflix Password

On Phone (iPhone & Android)

1. Open the Netflix app and tap your Profile icon (bottom right).
2. Tap Account (redirects to browser).
3. Under "Membership & Billing", tap Change password.
4. Enter your current password.
5. Enter your new password twice.
6. Tap Save.

On Computer (Browser)

1. Go to netflix.com/account and sign in.
2. Under "Membership & Billing", click Change password.
3. Enter your current password.
4. Enter your new password twice.
5. Check "Require all devices to sign in again with new password" if you want to log out everywhere.
6. Click Save.

Forgot Password? Reset Without Old Password

If you don't remember your current password, use the reset flow:

1. Go to netflix.com/loginhelp.
2. Select Email or Text Message (SMS).
3. Enter the email or phone number associated with your Netflix account.
4. Click Email Me or Text Me.
5. Check your email or messages for the reset link from Netflix.
6. Click the link and create a new password.

On Smart TV / Streaming Device

Most TV apps do not have a "Change Password" option. Change it on a phone or computer first, then sign in on the TV.

1. Change your password using the phone or computer method above.
2. On your TV, open Netflix and select Sign In.
3. Enter your email and the new password.
4. If already signed in, you may need to sign out first (Settings > Get Help > Sign Out).

Security Tips

• Use a unique password you don't use elsewhere (12+ characters, mix of letters, numbers, symbols).
• Enable "Require all devices to sign in again" when changing password to kick out unauthorized users.
• Netflix does not offer two-factor authentication (2FA) yet - use a strong, unique password.
• Check "Recent device streaming activity" in Account settings to see who's watching.
